Connecting to learning topics

Splitting up into individual coaching sessions to shape personal jobs, pains and gains. Coachees explore what they already know and what they want to learn.

  • They connect their personal working profile with what they already know and what they really want to learn.

Outcome: Coachees have created a personal working profile and established mental and social connections with learning topics.

Personal goals and outcomes

Coachees connect with their own learning goals and what they personally want to take away from the training.

  • Coachees select individual learning topics that resonate with their personal working profile.
  • They prioritize that topics to match their prioritized jobs, pains and gains.
  • They build a learning roadmap outlining the sequence and scope of the learning outcomes.

Outcome: Coachees have aligned their personal goals with the outcome of the training and have a mental picture of what they will be able to do as a result of the training.

Individual concepts and practice sessions

Positive emotional learning experiences with active participation and collaboration in an informal learning environment.

  • Weekly coaching sessions with learning activities will be conducted in a collaborative, co-creative way with time for reflection and feedback.
  • New concepts are instantly put into asynchronous, concrete practice in between the sessions.
  • A feedback loop will be maintained to refine the learning roadmap based on new insights or changing demands.

Outcome: Coachees demonstrate their learning by applying new concepts and tools in their work. Changes in behaviours as a result of the coaching and mentoring are observable.

Mid-Term Review

The current learning progress and a sanity check on moving towards the initial learning goals will be assessed.

  • Learners update their learning log.
  • They evaluate the current status of their learning journey.
  • They update the roadmap and celebrate their progress.

Outcome: A learner-focused evaluation of their feelings what they have learned so far, knowledge learned, improved performance, and return on training investment. Learner created updated roadmap.

Learner-led Summay

Closing activity in which learners summarize what they have learned during the program.

  • They think again about what was learned and its impact for the organisation.
  • They focus on the most important information and what was most meaningful to them.
  • They state what they learned for a share-out.
  • They deepen the relevancy of the learned concepts to their work.

Outcome: A learner-led summary of the coaching and mentoring program, e.g. a Personal Product Leadership Growth Playbook and a share-out.

Evaluation

Coachees assess what they learned, evaluate if they reached their personal learning goals and how the organisation benefits from what they learned.

  • Learners assess the entire trainings experience.
  • They assess their knowledge-based and their behavioral (skill-based) learning.
  • They make a commitment to use what they learned and to improve further.
  • They create an action plan to share their learnings.

Outcome: Learners feel positive about the learning experience and confident about their new knowledge and skills.

Share and celebrate

The Coachees cohort reconnects with each other once again in a positive, affirming way before the program ends.

  • They share their training journey and state what they appreciated.

Outcome: The Coachees leave the training feeling positive and enthusiastic about the learning experience. The organisation acknowledges the achievements and celebrates the learners.
